HP People Talk About: Personal and Professional Success

We are deeply invested in seeing our employees thrive. Whether they are just launching their careers or have worked here for decades, each and every HP employee has the potential to succeed through hard work, dedication, and resilience. We empower our people to reimagine what’s possible by continuously fueling their curiosity and providing them with the resources and support they need to make great things happen.

How do I inspire our next generation of leaders? By sharing my own story.

I’m a go-getter. In the time I’ve been with HP, I’ve seized opportunities that have taken my career to new heights. But I didn’t do it on my own. I had mentors and sponsors to guide my success. That’s why I’m passionate about working with our interns. I’m leading by example and showing them that everyone can find success here.

How do I get out of my comfort zone? I face my fears head-on.

If it scares me, then I must do it. Mountain climbing is my passion and I am always humbled by the sense of accomplishment when I reach the top. This is also how I approach my professional life at HP. I am always looking for ways to go the extra mile to grow, contribute, and motivate my coworkers to ride that energy, conquer their fears, and reach for success.

How do I face my challenges? I build confidence and never give up.

I am my most powerful opponent. My competitive Taekwondo training helps me build confidence and develop a “never give up” attitude. I am often faced with challenges and issues at work, but I seek out-of-the-box solutions and am open to learning from my extraordinary colleagues, which drives my personal and professional success.

How do I get the confidence to push ahead? By creating a vision of success.

The first step I take when I set a goal is to write it down. Next? I imagine I’ve already succeeded. When I envision myself in the future, it gives me the focus I need to make my dreams happen. Setting a vision has helped me open up new possibilities in my career and push forward for business results.

Dorota, Poland

That’s what it’s like to be part of HP.
