HP’s Working Mother of the Year is..

HP was named a Top 100 company in the US for working moms by Working Mother Magazine for the 27th year in a row. As part of this honor, we recognize one outstanding working mother who has gone above and beyond her responsibilities at the office and her time spent at home to bring a more balanced lifestyle for her and her family.

… Global Controller Marie Myers, an all-around cool mom. When she’s not at work, you can find Marie reading bedtime stories or sharing dinner (no phones at the dinner table!) with her husband, Christian; nine-year-old, Clara; and five-year-old twins, Cecilia and Christopher.

A true Italian at heart, Marie enjoys spending her weekend time making homemade pasta with her family. “It takes hours to make, but the kids love it,” she said. “And then it’s all gone in just minutes.” Sometimes, the kids will even share dinner scraps from the table with Fifi, their 16-year-old greyhound and Labrador rescue, who Marie and Christian adopted when they were married 13 years ago.

Marie’s inspiration to lead as a woman both at work and at home is a value that stems from her own mother, who taught Marie to “bring your whole self to all you do.” It’s something that she strives for in her day-to-day life, and is a value she has encouraged her teams to take on as well.

“In addition to her incredible example of professional achievement and bold leadership, Marie demonstrates her commitment to an inclusive culture, leads by example, and takes personal action in helping HP reinvent the standard for diversity,” Chief Diversity Officer Lesley Slaton Brown said.

“We’re inspired by her contributions as a working parent and the role she plays in helping all HP employees bring their whole selves to work.”

We recognize that being a working mother is no easy task, and it takes strength to balance work life and home life gracefully. To all of our working moms out there, thank you for your dedication to your family and to HP. We see you.
